Not sure if it is the same that has been around for years, see Al Sirovs displaying 2-metre snake skin last year.
Again: Carpet pythons are placid and not dangerous, except when they have just shed their skin. Then they are a bottle green colour and are hurting all over, and can bite you just like a cranky dog might. So stay clear of them at that time.
