Well, the Onion Slicer of course! 20 Kg's of onions don't slice themselves! Here's poor ol' Al (Tania's partner) who, in place of our regular Onion Slicer Gus Miller, was roped into slicing the onions for the Sizzle at Bunnings this Sunday. We understand the honour of being given this most important job brought him to tears. But equally important are the people who man the stand [am I permitted to say 'man' the stand, or should that be 'personized' the upright structure? Ed. ☺], stand behind a hot-hot Bar-be-que, take the money, run back to the shop for more sausages... Al's initial efforts were followed by Tania's friend Sue Tucker, Doug and Sue Lipp, Al Sirovs, Mitch Brown, Gerald East, John Chirio, Ian Mayberry, Paul Seymour, and of course organizer Tania Laird herself. And they raised enough funds to pay a substantial portion for two candidates to attend RYTS (Rotary Youth Transition Seminar), as President Jo indicates in her message above. And all that at very short (like, 2 days) notice! Well done all. People of Action indeed!See more photos in the Photo Album section on the right. All photos by Tania Laird except the last one, by Al Sirovs.
