Brian Pearson was at the door (with capable assistance by Gus Miller) and Charles Thomasson was Chairman. We had apologies from Peter Morgan, Larry Murray, Ray Higgs and Paul O'Neill.
President Paul Seymour welcomed all members and visitors (too many to list) and of course our guest speaker, Simon Black. Paul briefly referred to the recent Bunnings sausage sizzle on the weekend and expressed the club's gratitude to Brian Pearson, who has agreed to finance the purchase of a compressor at our Project Shed. Good on ya, Brian!
After Simon Black's presentation (see separate report above), Paul reminded everyone of the upcoming major functions: The Italian Long Lunch on 22nd October, the Golf Day on 25th October, and the Lutzy Award presentation at our next meeting on 27th October (table service, you need to book if you want to get a cooked breakfast for just $11.00, unless you have done so already - contact me if you are not sure).
Finally, Doug Lipp donated the customary $100 to the Wheelchair Trust in celebration of his 4th Grandchild. Congratulations to the Lipp Family!
