John Chirio was at the door, Mitch Brown was Chairman and Ian Mayberry was Sergeant.  We had apologies from President Mario Fairlie, Neil Thurlow, Angus Miller, Geoff Croad, Karen Holland, Graeme Isaacson (all overseas!). Vice President Paul Seymour welcomed all members, Broadwater Southport President Dennis O'Brien and his fellow members who joined us for a joint meeting, and of course the about to be inducted Corporate Members, joining Charles Thomasson from Wilsons Advisory: Ashleigh Symes, Matthew Clayworth and Todd Cole. They were duly inducted by Past District Governor Darrell Brown (see separate article).  Dennis O'Brien briefly elaborated on his club's recent expansion into Corporate Membership and said some kind words, complimenting us on our club bulletin. ["One aims to give satisfaction" as Jeeves would have said (sorry, you young guys, before your time...) ☺.]

Immediately following on, Paul presented PDG Darrell Brown with his new Paul Harris Fellowship pin, his 8th.  Congratulations!

After Chris Thurtell's presentation on EEMA (see separate article above), PDG Darrell Brown elaborated on one of the Youth Programs we regularly participate in: RYTS (Rotary Youth Transition Seminar), designed for 16 - 18 year olds. Click on this link for further details. We might be able to cooperate with Basketball Gold Coast, the Surf Club and possibly Broadwater Southport club?

Membership Director Charles Thomasson advised that he had another 3 - 4 Corporate Memberships in the pipeline.  And the Golf Day is definitely on - scheduled for 26th November 2019.  More details coming up shortly.

Larry Murray outlined the results of the recently conducted Workplace Health & Safety audit that was conducted at the Project Shed.  Some 20 items need to be addressed, many of them require only relatively minor effort to be rectified, and
Foundation Director Gerald East rallied the troops to participate in both the upcoming Shopping Centre collection at Runaway Bay (9th - 11th October) as well as the Movie Night (25th September).  See separate article.

Treasurer Doug Lipp expressed concern that there are still some members who had not yet paid their club dues. If you haven't paid up by next week, you'll be named!
