President Mitch Brown commenced the meeting with a ‘Welcome to Country’ [still struggling a bit with the local Yugambeh dialect of the local aboriginal language, though but I’m sure he’ll get it right… 😊 Ed.], and welcomed our Guest Speaker Sgt Cherie MacLean as well as Paul O’Neill’s guest, his grandson Ethan.
Mitch proceeded with the formal induction of our newest Corporate Members, Nick Cole and Nicole Bricknell of Cole Residential Real Estate (see article below). Welcome to Surfers Sunrise Rotary!
Following Cherie MacLean’s presentation (see article below), Treasurer Charles Thomasson reminded members that the half-yearly dues are payable now and that the $10 meeting fee can be prepaid for the remainder of the year (including the Lutzy Award meal) at a discounted price of $90.00.
