Last Friday, we finally were able to stage the 'Long Italian Lunch' at Gemelli's restaurant at Broadbeach. And what an event! Chief organiser Johnny Bueti had them lined up for months (originally, it was meant to be a 'Christmas in July' theme, but the Queensland State Health Department put a stop to that...). Our major sponsors 'My Carte, Salerno Law, Trigonx and Johnny's company, GoTransit Media Group made it possible. In total, we had 120 bookings (the maximum the restaurant can accommodate). The slumming started at midday and went on into the late afternoon.Our sincere thanks go to our valued sponsors, the dignitaries from the Italian community, the staff at Gemelli's restaurant and, of course, to Johnny Bueti and his organising team.
